Coast to Coast - West - 10 Days / 9 Nights
Information
Set off on this shorter trip on the famous Coast to Coast trail created by Alfred Wainwright. This itinerary is based on a start on the west coast starting in St Bees and ending in Kirkby Stephen which is ideal for those short on time or just want to get a taste of the trail.
The Coast to Coast is rather unique as its not part of the National Trails but instead comprises other trails, paths and walkways covering the breath of the England. Starting in St Bees in Cumbria and stretching to Robin Hood’s Bay in North Yorkshire, the Coast to Coast trail is one of the most popular long distance walks in the UK offering opportunities to take in stunning countryside, enjoy mountain scenery and discover some of England's history.
The trail is challenging in places with some climbs and descents so a good level of fitness is recommended. The weather can be unpredictable so its best to plan for all possibilities. Our local bag transfer allows you to pack a variety of options with your items being delivered to your accommodation for your arrival.
The route is incredibly varied with no 2 days presenting the same challenge. You will encounter all types of fauna and flora, fells, moorland, wide open fields, mountains and alot of history.
