Itinerary

Arrive in Ferrol and set out to explore this wonderful city. Take a leisurely stroll along the cobbled streets, discover the magical Ferrol Vello and visit the Curuxeiras quay. As you stand at the pier, your starting point the adventure ahead, you will take in the Atlantic Ocean and contemplate the many pilgrims who have undertaken this before you.
Enjoy local gastronomy in one of the local restaurants.

Your adventure begins today.

Set off to Pontedeume nice and early and aim to arrive in good time to explore the delights this pretty destination offers. As you leave Ferrol, the landscape changes as you leave the ocean behind and encounter a diverse range of inland trees and fauna.
Upon arrival at Pontedeume, we recommend taking some to visit Fragas do Eume National Park. This houses one of the best examples of Atlantic riverside vegetation in Europe so your camera is a must!

Distance: 31 km

Todays route takes in the ocean and the meandering countryside along a pathway leading to Betanzos. As you enter the town, the original Medieval gates welcome you to enjoy the gastronomy on offer including the famous omelette.
Take in the Old Town with its Gothic monuments. Foodies will love the village with its signature dish including 'pichos de tortilla'.

Distance - 21 kms

Set off on todays section and you will encounter some of the most natural and authentic sections of the itinerary. You will encounter a number of rural landscapes, villages and communities which will whisk you back to a time long ago. Culture is at the heart of todays section so make sure your camera is always ready to snap.

As Hospital de Bruma has limited services, all pilgrims will be accommodated in nearby Meson do Vento.

Distance: 31 kms

You are now well over half way as you make your way to Sigueiro. The stage is dotted with small villages allowing guests to engage in culture with local communities.

Todays destination of Sigueiro dates back to castrena culture and is home to forts and other historical attractions.

Distance: 25 km

The end is near as you set off to Santiago de Compostela. Today's section will be swift and you will arrive at your destination before you know it.

Upon arrival in Santiago de Compostela, take the time to investigate the city and pick up your Compostela certificate.
